Andries has extensive experience in strategic positioning, marketing and finance. During 2001 he joined the Prima group as director and became Managing Director two years later. He left Prima in 2005 and formed a consortium which acquired the Lancaster group, of which he became CEO. He was instrumental in the formation and listing of Afrimat in 2006. Andries was a finalist in the 2008 Ernst & Young World Entrepreneur awards in the category Emerging Entrepreneur. |

Gert Coffee (59) - COO: Aggregates

Gert joined the group in 2010 and was previously the Managing Director of Raumix and Director of several related companies. His wealth of experience stretches from areas such as ready mixed concrete and quarrying to crushing in South Africa, Lesotho, Zambia and Botswana. His experience includes commercial crushing, contract crushing, and ready mixed concrete (both commercial and mobile operations). Gert is also Director and Chairman of the South African branch of the Institute of Quarrying. |

Pieter de Wet (57) – Managing Director: Aggregates KwaZulu-Natal
Piet is a qualified diesel mechanic with 28 years’ service with Lancaster Quarries. He rose through the ranks and was appointed as managing director of Lancaster Quarries in March 2006 following 10 years as operations director. He is well respected in the industry and is the Regional Chairman for the Aggregates and Sand Producers Association of South Africa. Piet is a distinguished expert in the aggregates industry. |
