Application

  • During application to existing lime washed walls, make sure the surface is clean, dusted down and sound.
  • Remove any dirt from the wall with a dry brush, wire brush or scraper.
  • During application to new lime plastered walls and wall renders during restoration of heritage buildings, make sure dust has been brushed off with a dry brush.
  • During application to virgin lime plastered walls and wall renders to hempcrete walls, make sure dust has been brushed off with a dry brush.
  • No primer is required.
  • Mix airCOAT well before use.
  • Wet down the walls with water.
  • After surface has dried out, apply the first coat of airCOAT.
  • Up to three coats might be necessary.
  • Allow at least 2-3hours between coats and 36 hours before exposure to water.
  • All tools should be cleaned with water immediately after use.
