Accountant
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12 certificate
- BCom Accounting Degree or equivalent qualification together with associated articles
- Experience in ERP system, preferably Sage X3
- 2 to 3 years relevant experience
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and hardworking
- Keen problem solver
- Shows commitment and takes ownership of work
- Must have the ability to work without supervision
- Valid driver’s license
- Advanced Excel skills
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Full Accounting function.
- Budgets and forecasting.
- Cash-flow management.
- Review and processing of EFT payments.
- Review Creditors Reconciliations.
- Various reporting responsibilities.
- Minor system implementations from time to time.
- Manager, coach & mentoring of accounting team employees.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors.
- Assist with VAT and Income Tax calculations and returns.
- General Ledger reconciliations
- Preparing financial statements.
- Assist and oversee procurement department
- Finalizing of month-end accounts.
- Providing basic administrative support when & where needed.
- BEE planning and implementation
- Insurance claims.
- Payroll deductions
- Stock management for Ready-mix operations
