Boilermaker
Minimum Qualification / Experience
- Grade 12
- Qualified Boilermaker – Red Seal
- Fitting experience would be beneficial
- Write, understand and communicate in English
- No criminal record
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be prepared to work after hours (overtime).
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Planning and executing work in a workshop environment
- Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE & MHS legislation.
- Read and interpret Drawings and technical plans
- Perform welding (Stick, Mig, Tig, and flux-core)
- Conduct grinding gouging and finishing work
- Use oxy-fuel or plasma cutting equipment.
- Report faulty equipment and unsafe conditions.
- To ensure that Safety rules and procedures are adhere to, according to the rules and regulations of the workshop and mine.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment.
- Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment.
