Buyer
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Must be South African citizen
- Must be declared fit by an Occupational Medical Practitioner in line with the code of Practice to Perform work on a Mine and Mines Health and Safety Act
- Disciplined individual that has excellent time keeping skills, have a good record of work attendance and sober habits
- Must be willing to work overtime as and when required to do so and be available to work standby
- Must display ability to read, write and communicate in English
- Experience in working with Purchase Orders, invoices and the procurement process
- Experience communicating with suppliers and internal departments
- Experience in Mining Environments can be beneficial
- Previous administrative experience
- Must have the ability to multitask
- Experience capturing and maintaining data accurately
- Must have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, good record keeping and filing
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- The position is responsible for effectively and productively executing all assigned pricing, procurement and order expediting activities
- Sourcing & Procurement activities including the administration of the procurement function
- End User Requirements interpretation
- Pricing enquiries
- Tender adjudication & Vendor selection
- Issue resolution
- Order expediting
- General Sourcing & Procurement activities
- Knowledge of BBBEE procurement requirements
