Electrician
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) or N4 equivalent
- Have an applicable trade certificate as an Electrician
- 5 years+ experience as an Electrician
- Knowledge in fault finding, PLC instrumentation, high voltage, switching, aggregate crushing, screening process, understanding of VSD”s and soft starters
- Be able to interpret electrical drawings
- Be prepared to work after hours and be on standby as and when required
- Be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- knowledge of On Key and SIS (Cat) systems will be advantageous
- The ability to work as part of a team but also without supervision
- Computer Literate
- Pre-employment medical required
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensuring compliance with all the requirements of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Identify causes of electrical dysfunction and repairing
- Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports
- Design and wire electrical mains and control circuits
- Ensuring safe work practices and compliance with all SHE Legislation
- Ensuring a safe and legally complaint working environment (SHE and MHSA Legislation) and work practices
- Compliance with all electrical work to SANS0142
- Report unsafe work procedures
- Attending electrical breakdowns and maintenance ensuring minimum downtime on production
- Keeping own working area clean, tidy & presentable always
- Managing & maintaining tooling in good, serviceable condition
- Result orientated – driving high performing culture and working in a high-pressure environment
