N’Komati Mine Operations (Sikhwahlane, outside Malelane) has an opportunity for an:
Engineering Manager
Minimum Qualification / Experience
- Coal Processing: Demonstrated experience with coal washing and beneficiation plants, including cyclones, drums, crushers, conveyors, screens, pumps and filter presses.
- Mining Experience: Extensive open-pit coal mining experience managing TMM and yellow equipment fleets is essential. Underground coal mining experience will be advantageous.
- Compliance: Sound knowledge of the Mine Health and Safety Act, engineering legal appointments, and engineering governance.
- Location: Must be willing to relocate to the Malelane, Marloth Park or Komatipoort area, alternatively commute on a weekly basis.
- Other: Valid driver's license required.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Engineering Leadership: Lead and manage all engineering activities across mining, processing plant and supporting infrastructure.
- Legal Compliance: Fulfil all statutory responsibilities associated with the Engineering Manager appointment in terms of the MHSA.
- Asset Management: Ensure optimum equipment reliability, availability and performance across fixed and mobile assets.
- Processing Plant Management: Provide engineering oversight for coal beneficiation and washing plant operations.
- Maintenance Excellence: Drive preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance programmes.
- Safety & Risk Management: Promote a zero-harm culture whilst ensuring compliance with all statutory and Company requirements.
- Budget & Cost Control: Manage operational and capital budgets and drive continuous improvement and cost optimisation initiatives.
- People Leadership: Develop, mentor and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams and contractors.
