Financial Clerk
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12
- Relevant Degree / Diploma in Finance (Advantageous)
- Knowledge of basic accounting procedures
- 1-2 years bookkeeping experience
- Computer literate: Microsoft excel, word, outlook
- Detail orientated and precise
- Good administrative capabilities
- Must be analytical and able to work under pressure
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensuring accurate and timeous capturing of data
- Verifying the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents
- Liaising with internal team in collecting invoices, diesel records and petty cash recons
- Preparing control documents for use in reconciling job costs, payable and receivable transactions
- Compiling monthly debtors and creditors statements
- Processing accounts and incoming payments
- Reconciling debtor’s accounts
- Assisting sales and debtors’ department with Ad Hoc functions
- Preparing for and assisting with audits when required
- Running weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly reports, as required
