Fitter
Minimum Qualification / Experience
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid drivers license will be an advantage
- N3 Fitting qualification
- 1-2 Years working experience
- Fault finding and repair on mechanical, hydraulics and pneumatics
- Knowledge of and applicable skills in plant maintenance, repair and installation of equipment.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Meet with Manager to discuss maintenance/engineering breakdowns.
- Must have a broad knowledge of Conveyor Belts, Gearboxes, Fluid drives, Bearings, Pumps, Crushers (54/74 Allis Chalmbers, APKV 0806 Hazemag, Kawasaki Z1500 Cone, HP3 Cone, VSI Crushers) and Screens.
- Read mechanical drawings and schematics
- Assemble machines, pumps ,gearboxes and motors
- Install new plant equipment during projects or shutdowns
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools as well as measuring instruments and reassemble equipment.
- Perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Assemble, install and/or repair, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery and equipment.
- Be prepared to work after hours when needed.
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment
- Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
