General Worker
Minimum Qualification / Experience
- Minimum Grade 12
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Possess basic knowledge of machinery
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Reliable, honest, and motivated
- Safety-conscious
- Understanding safety protocols and mechanical basics is an advantage
- Have a good eyesight, hearing and the ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds with construction job sites
- Shows continuity in attendance
- Must have the ability to work under pressure
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
- Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with performing daily pre-start inspection checks
- Ensure that the workplace is cleaned regularly
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant
- Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area
- Maintaining safety standards and completing additional tasks as directed
- Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
- Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior
- Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on standard allocated job
