Geologist Intern
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies
- BSc Honours Degree in Geology or BSc Geology qualification.
- Valid driver's license will be advantageous
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of geological software packages will be advantageous
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work in a mining environment and travel when required
- South African citizenship
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Assist with geological mapping and sampling activities.
- Support grade control and ore reconciliation processes.
- Capture and maintain geological databases.
- Assist in drilling programmes and sample logging.
- Conduct field inspections and geological investigations.
- Compile geological reports and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with mine health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Perform any other geology-related duties as reasonably assigned.
