Gradings Clerk
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid driver’s license an advantage.
- Experience working at a remote mining site and in cross-cultural work environment.
- Good knowledge of test done in the lab according to the SANS 3001 testing method.
- Must be able to interpret results as per COTO specifications.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to work safely in fast paced environment.
- Must be able to function independently.
- Must be able to report on the test method completed and explain the results obtained.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Follow all health and Safety rules.
- Collect and prepare samples.
- Check the quality aspects of materials produced.
- Conduct inspection of material to determine weight.
- Temperature, grades moisture content and quantities inspection.
- Report any irregular findings to superiors.
- Ensure sampling machinery and tools are clean and in workable condition, making any necessary repairs.
