Water Truck Driver
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12
- Must have a valid driver’s license (Code 10\14).
- Valid PDP (Advantageous)
- Be literate and functionally numerate.
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Possess basic knowledge of machinery.
- Pre-employment medical required.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Be self-disciplined and able to work without supervision.
- Ability to work within the team.
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
- Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Driving the Water Truck and carrying out all related tasks
- Reporting general mechanical elementary problems
- Be safety conscious
- Able to work as part of a team
- Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on standard allocated job
- Keep machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing daily pre-start checklist correctly
- Be able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays)
- Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior
