Afrimat Mining Services, based in Tswana Lime Quarry (Lichtenburg) has a vacancy for:
ADT (Articulated Dump Truck) Operator
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12 certificate
- Valid operator’s license
- 4 years’ experience as an ADT Operator
- General mechanical knowledge of heavy machinery
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining environment
- Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Safely Operate an ADT machine to load / move materials as instructed.
- Perform required inspection and basic maintenance of ADT to ensure safe operating condition of the ADT
- Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain accurate records of ADT activities and report any safety concerns or equipment issues.
- Prepare accesses, work areas and surfaces
- Remain vigilant to avoid potential safety hazards when operating the machine
- Keep the machine clean and fill up with fuel and grease as required.
- General work on site when required (none operating).
