Boilermaker
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
- Conduct routine, planned, and breakdown maintenance on crushers, screens, conveyors, bins, chutes, hoppers, and other fixed plant equipment.
- Identify and repair cracks, worn parts, and structural defects through welding, cutting, and fitting.
- Install new plant sections, support frames, guards, handrails, and other mechanical components as needed.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in workshops and work areas.
- Maintain tools, welding equipment, and workshop machinery in good working order.
- Work collaboratively with fitters, electricians, and plant operators to minimize downtime.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Grade 12
- Qualified Boilermaker (Red Seal Certificate).
- Minimum 2–3 years post-trade experience, preferably in a quarry, mining, or heavy industrial environment.
- Understanding of mechanical systems on crushing and screening plants.
- Write, understand, and communicate in English.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be prepared to work after hours when needed.
- Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
- Will be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- No criminal record.
- Assisting in preparation for internal and external audits.
