Bulk Sales Manager
To help achieve Afrimat’s vision and objectives by managing all functions related to sales of bulk cement in all segments. Developing demand for Afrimat Cement’s products, facilitation of technical support and targeting new customers and maintain existing customers in Gauteng. Ensuring the successful implementation of the sales strategy that ensures the long-term sustainability of the brand through its active promotion, by exploiting the channels and by successfully providing the total Afrimat construction materials offering.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Skills
- Sales/Marketing tertiary qualification or equivalent is essential.
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification
- At least 5 years of working experience within the similar role.
- Customer Service Orientation
- Good negotiation skills
- Sales/Marketing skills
- Attention to detail
- Sound technical and product knowledge of Afrimat
Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):
- Contribute to maximizing profitability for the region and across segments
- Collect and collate market intelligence
- Provide customers with promotional support to grow the customer base
- Provide guidance to sales staff by assisting them to optimize their sales skills and efforts
- Establish and maintain a Afrimat brand image with key customers
- Establish and maintain customer/supplier relationship in order to promote turnover and profitability
- Responsibility to include product innovation working closely with Technical department
- Analyze sales and other reports that give insight into how the company can make adjustments to improve performance
- Developing, reviewing and optimizing commercial strategy with general manager
- Work with sales team to target more profitable customers and development opportunities
- Assist with development pricing strategy and policy and management thereof.
- Manage internal relationship with operations and commercial cross all product lines to ensure optimal business performance.
- Develop & maintain markets in his/her area of responsibility
- Budget forecasting and controlling
