Afrimat Mining services, based at D&B Nkomati has a vacancy for a:
Drill Rig operator for the Sunward 138B Excavator Drill
Minimum Qualification/ Experience
- Grade 12
- Operators License
- Valid Driver’s license
- Heavy Equipment certificate will be an advantage
- Minimum of 3–5-year experience in Drill rig operation
- Experience in operating DI550/DI650 drill will be an advantage
- Experience working at a remote mining site and in a cross-cultural working environment
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work under pressure
- Flexibility to work outside of normal hours during emergencies and planned overtime
- Applicates from the following Tribal authorities will be preference:(optional based on qualifications) Lugedlane, Mawewe, Matsamo.
- Own Transport & accommodation
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Ensure that there is enough material to run the machine.
- Operate eqiupment according to relevant mining requierments and standards
- Operating equiment to achieve daily tragets
- Manage Resources (Water, Waste Oil GET)
- Report all Safetey hazards ,accidents and incedents to your manager
- Assisting in drilling and blasting activities
- Monitor and the dials and pressure in order to use drill rig optimally
- Operate the mechine within the manufactures specification and according to standard set
