GCC Engineer
Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:
- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Mining GCC (Government Certificate of Competency)
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to work independently within set targets.
- People management & communication skills.
- Registered with DMRE as a mentor (advantageous)
- A minimum of four years supervisory / management experience within Quarrying environment.
- Knowledge and experience of maintenance planning and cost center control.
- Sound multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge and experience associated with electrical, electronic, mechanical, and structural infrastructure and systems.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and engineering principles in heavy machinery industry.
- Good knowledge and experience of overall plant processes and operational systems.
- Technical knowledge required for in-depth Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations.
- Diagnosing, analyzing, and reporting skills.
- Process, plant and equipment optimization. Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Legal appointment as 2.13.1 Competent Engineer for Ridgeview Quarry & Tongaat Quarry.
- Ensure compliance by conducting oversight inspections on the following areas: Lifting equipment and machinery, Workshop Stores with hazardous chemicals and oil storage areas, Diesel Installations and dispensing facilities, Machine Guarding, Electrical Installations: MCC’s, Transformers, Structural Integrity: Design, Installation, Repair, Removal and Replacement, On Site Traffic Management Systems.
