Health & Safety Learnership (P1/P2)
Minimum Qualification / Requirements:
- Studying towards a Health & Safety related qualification
- Willing to learn and be trained
- Administrative skills and Microsoft knowledge
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take initiative
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Assist with Safety Inductions and toolbox talks
- Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act and other applicable legislations
- Ensure compliance with the NEM Act
- Learn how to identify hazards and risks in the workplace
- To be part of the drafting and review Committee for COP’S
- Submit Safety documents to be loaded on the SHEQ system
- Assist with drafting Legal Appointments
- Assist with accident and incident investigations
- To be part of the Health and Safety committee meetings
- Learn how to conduct internal and external audits
- Assist employees with occupational health and safety matters
- Assist the Safety Officer with visual inspections
- To report near misses, incidents and accidents
