Low Bed Driver
Minimum Qualification / Experience:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Valid driver’s license EC (Code 14).
- Valid PDP.
- Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health & Safety Act.
- 5 years’ experience as a Low Bed Driver.
- Ability to carry out repetitive tasks quickly and methodically.
- Strong safety awareness and ability to work autonomously.
- Able to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends when required.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)
- Visually and physically check each item on the low bed that is listed in the Operator’s Daily Pre-Start Check List
- Work safely.
- Be a responsible, honest and motivated employee
- Check the truck at the start of each day.
- Transport the load.
- Care for the Low bed.
- Close out at the end of the day.
- Operate the Low bed within the manufacturer’s specifications and in accordance with standards set during training.
- Continually check the gauges of the Low bed during operation
- Attend to problems immediately if gauges show a problem.
- Keep the Low bed clean.
