Maintenance Fitter
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Matric or N3 Trade Theory
- Red Seal Trade Certificate – Fitter
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a mining/manufacturing/industrial environment
- Knowledge and experience on conveyers, drivers, pumps, ball mills and crushers
- Code EB driver license
- Must be computer literate – MS Office
- Must be able to speak and write English
- Ability to work independently and as a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excel
- Good planning and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Basic Welding
- Ability to read drawings and schematics
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Perform mechanical maintenance and installations
- Good knowledge and experience in a mining or similar working environment
- Fault finding and repairs
- Ordering parts or equipment as necessary
- Adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety
- Completing documentation, including inspection sheets as required
- Must be willing to work overtime and perform standby as per the requirements of the mine
- Disciplined by nature especially with task execution
- Attend to mechanical breakdowns
