Afrimat Mining Services, based in Driehoekspan – Northern Cape has a vacancy for a:
Multi Skilled Operator
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Grade 12
- Licensing for Earth Moving machines such as an Excavator and Loader is a requirement
- Knowledgeable in CAT349 Excavator or a similar machine and CAT L980 Loader or a similar machine
- Minimum 1 to 5 years experience in an open pit-mining
- Knowledgeable of Mine Health and Safety Act requirements
- Able to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Ability to safely work, day and night shifts on a rotational basis
- Able to work in harsh weather conditions
- Medical fitness
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating and safety policies and procedures (Excavator and Loader).
- Completes required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation (pre – start checks and daily inspections).
- Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
- Ensure that the equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner
- Rotation between operating earth moving machines and assisting at Mobile Crushing equipment when required
