Plant Supervisor
Minimum Qualification / Requirements
- Minimum Grade 12
- Be literate and functionally numerate
- Pre-employment medical required
- Candidates must be medically fit to perform duties in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.
- Minimum of 3 years demonstrated supervisory experience
- Minimum of 3 years crusher operations and aggregate processing knowledge
- Good leadership and communication skills
- Must have knowledge & understanding of the mining environment
- Very good understanding of legal aspects pertaining to a mine/quarry
- Conflict resolution and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Sound product knowledge
- Must be able to work under pressure
- A valid driver’s license
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Supervise and co-ordinate activities in your area of responsibility
- Reporting all daily production and maintenance
- Allocate & schedule work of subordinates according to daily production plan & ensure production targets are met
- Maintain a clean, safe and neat working environment at all times
- Ensure corrective action is take on inspection forms required
- Carry out all agreed ad hoc assignments, tasks and projects requested
- Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
- Adhere to all Safety Health & Environmental (SHE) rules and regulations that are applicable on the site
- Must be willing to work overtime, shifts and weekends when required
