Production Manager
Minimum Qualification / Requirements
- South African Citizen
- Driver’s license
- Grade 12 essential & relevant Diploma/Degree would be advantageous
- 5 – 10 years’ operational experience in a similar role, in industrial materials & production
- Ability to Sit or stand for long periods; handle & manipulate objects on a repetitive basis
- Be prepared to work after/long hours.
- Ability to work in a fast paced & dynamic environment as well as to work independently & in a team environment.
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to):
- Executing daily production targets through optimum output.
- Ensuring operational efficiency & quality.
- Ensuring the plant produces according to the operation requirements & plant efficiencies.
- Driving continuous improvement to optimize plant performance.
- Ensuring that all plants operations adhere and comply with corporate governance, statutory, legal and other requirements.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints
- Manage plants - people management, cost control, time and attendance, management of job cards.
- Responsible for housekeeping of the whole plant.
- Assisting the Mine Manager in purchasing consumables for the plant, planning monthly production targets, ensuring employee engagement, achieving operating profit margin, internal, external and DMR audits.
- Responsible for right product quality as per specifications.
- Responsible for mine planning and the execution thereof.
- Loading of rail and road trucks.
- Safety Compliance – MHSA.
