Senior Planner (Maintenance)
Minimum Qualification / Requirements / Attributes:
- Engineering Diploma (Required)
- Minimum 10 Years’ Planner Experience (Required)
- 5 years’ asset care experience
- Proficient with On Key CMMS
- Willing to travel to various Afrimat sites
- Have own vehicle and driver’s license
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to influence across teams
- Decision making ability in a fast-changing environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Self-disciplined and motivated
- Honesty
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):
- Act as a mentor and coach to maintenance planners across the organisation, providing guidance on planning principles, system usage (e.g. On Key), and continuous improvement.
- Identify skills gaps and lead structured upskilling initiatives to build planning capability across business units
- Drive the standardization of planning processes, documentation, and workflows to ensure consistency and alignment with Afrimat’s maintenance strategy
- Develop and maintain standardised planning reports and dashboards to support performance monitoring, decision-making, and compliance with planning KPIs
- Champion the adoption of preventative maintenance and reliability-focused planning practices to improve equipment availability and reduce maintenance costs
- Work closely with the Implementation Engineer and other stakeholders to ensure planning processes are effectively supported by On Key and aligned with system capabilities
