Weighbridge Clerk
Minimum Qualification/ Experience
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Must be medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act and the Company standards for medical fitness
- Must have sound knowledge & understanding of the mining environment
- Must have a good understanding of the legal aspects pertaining to a mine/quarry
- Computer literacy
- Basic financial skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good planning and decision-making skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Good leadership skills
- Must be safety conscious
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):
- Data capturing and completion of various reports i.e. Diesel report, Yams, ASMS/ Maintenance job cards
- Assist with dispatch operations
- Scheduling & verifying of loads according to orders
- Analyse the order & quantities required for each job
- Maintain the records of all orders received, dispatched correctly; accurately ensure all delivery notes are signed, etc.
- Report any dispatch & related problems to the immediate superior immediately
- Complete any other reasonable & lawful work-related instruction given to the employee by an authorized person
- Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site e.g. Induction Training
- Adhere to the Quality Assurance responsibility during the production process by constantly monitoring & evaluating that a computerized maintenance strategy is employed to ensure absolute reliability & minimum down time
- The successful candidate must be willing to work overtime and on weekends as and when required.
- The successful candidate must also be able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, while having the ability to work independently, as well in a team environment.
