Mini Maxi Cement Bricks: Introduction
At our SA Block precast facility in Redan Gauteng, reclaimed clinker is used in the production process of cement building bricks as a replacement for manufactured aggregates and sand.
The pozzolanic properties and low relative density of reclaimed clinker reduces both the manufacturing cost and weight per unit.
This allows transporters to increase its payload volume per load which reduces the transport cost per unit and lowers the labour effort required by bricklayers at the building site.
Our bricks is therefore considered a more cost-effective option for building walls that will be plastered.
Mini Maxi Cement Bricks: Products
Our Mini Maxi cement bricks are manufactured to the SANS 1215:2008 standard with the following dimensions: 90mm x 90mm x 290mm and left to cure until it reaches a minimum crushing strength of 7 MPa.
The average weight of our mini maxi bricks is +-3.5kg.
SA Block's Mini Maxi cement bricks were specifically designed for single inner-wall construction, they are commonly used for residential construction projects which uses our Maxi Bricks in the outside walls, this allows the inner wall to be perfectly tied into the outside walls.
Due to its size, Mini Maxi cement bricks reduces material as well as labour costs, while still ensuring the integrity of the wall remain intact.
